Some basic information about the ECT Test (Edge Crush Test)
ECT (Edge Crush Test) is a test method used to evaluate the strength of the edges of cardboard or pasteboard packaging materials. The side edges of the sample are subjected to compression in order to measure the strength of the side surfaces. The results are reported usually as a value expressing the edge crush resistance per unit. This value shows the strength of the side edges of the sample.
