Rub fastness tester is used to determine transfer of colour from product to felt when the product is rubbed against a piece of felt. The test is conducted on dyed or printed leather products. The test also serves to determine resistance to getting dirty. The friction device applies a rubbing movement with a given pressure to the evenly stretched leather or cotton fabric.

It is used in the sectors of footwear, genuine and synthetic leather, furniture, automotive and home appliances.

RUB FASTNESS TESTER DVT DRH has a 50-mm friction distance. A number is entered in the counter before the test and the test stops automatically when such number has been reached. With this device, it is possible to stretch the sample when it has been attached. There is a wet or dry test unit on an optional basis. The device can have 2 or 3 pressure units on an optional basis.
