- Used for testing flexural properties of cables under stress.
- Weights are attached to the ends of the sample of cable and bending stress is applied to the cable by means of pulleys. After a given number of bending operations, the flexural properties of the cable is observed physically.
- This also allows to see whether the wires inside have broken.
